Watercolors

In watercolor, I like to work en plein air, in the fullness of the outdoors, capturing effects of light that can change very quickly. Working on site, and responding to the wind, sun, rain, even wildlife, becomes almost a meditation, a communion with Nature. The medium of watercolor is very immediate and spontaneous, but the act of painting allows one to return in memory to that specific moment and place again and again.
